In response to recent budget cuts to the HIP program, Berkshire Agricultural Ventures launched a successful campaign to raise funds to double HIP for SNAP customers at winter markets! This will double the amount of HIP funds each customer has access to each month from $20 to $40. Thank you BAV for supporting food access in our community!
How it works:
Every SNAP customer can receive a bundle of coupons, totaling $20, to be spent on fruit and vegetables. (Limit 1 per customer per market day)
Coupons work like tokens and can be spent like HIP, redeemable with eligible vendors.

Use your EBT card to purchase tokens at the market & receive 3X the amount you pay to spend!
Effective January 1st 2025, a cap of $30 per customer per market day will be placed on the amount of SNAP funds that will be eligible to be tripled in value. This still allows you to receive $90 worth of tokens when you spend $30 in SNAP funds per market day!
This cap will allow us to continue offering the 3x Snap Match Program as the program continues to expand and our organization navigates budget restraints.
Funding food access initiatives and continuing to offer the 3x Snap Match program remains a top priority! We are proud to serve an increasingly broad range of community members and business owners in 2025 and beyond.
